of the Music art of Eastern Peoples»: Thanking
the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for organisation of very high level
the International Music Festival and Conference, Congratulating
the Republic of Uzbekistan on its
6th Anniversary
of the Independence, Recalling
the importance of UNESCO Recommendation on Status of Artist and Recommendation
on the Safeguarding of Traditional Culture and Folklore, as well as
UNESCO project «Living Human Treasures». Recognizing
the facts that the cooperation in the field of music contributes to the
strengthening of friendship, respect and brotherhood links among the peoples. Stressing
that development of any society in incomplete without due attention to its art
and culture, Fully
understanding that the necessity of preservation of traditional -
musk-schools and skills, and to transmit these skills to the future generations, Acknowledging
the need to define a new programme for the preservation of the musical heritage
and development of the creativity of the traditional music, to train musicians
and to promote and recompense young artists for their creativity. 1.
Invite Director- General of UNESCO: -
to promote the preservation of musical heritage and development of the
creativity of traditional music in Asia, -
to support the Second international Music Festival «Sharq Taronalari», which
foreseen to be held in Samarkand in 1999, -
to organize the Seminar in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) on traditional music teaching
in primary schools of Central Asian countries, -
to encourage the publication of a newsletter on the traditional music to be
distributed among music educational institutes of participating countries, 2. Invite the International Music Council and the International Council on Traditional Music to Include «Sharq Taronalari» International Music Festival to its programme and to patronage it. |
